A Sample Inspiration

Today, my coworker gave me some fresh tomatoes and peppers, so thinking about what to do with them, I decided to make a pizza from scratch :)  I first cut up all the vegetables.

Then I made the crust and put the pizza together!

I think it turned out pretty well and K really loved it, which always makes me very happy :)

Last week, I got on this free sample kick.  No idea why. I saw something on a website and decided that I just needed to collect all the free cosmetic and skincare samples that I could, so I set out to email as many companies as I could think of to ask for samples.  I am ashamed to say that I spent nearly an entire day doing this.  It was my current and fleeting obsession at the time, or as my mom calls it, one of my “inspirations.”  It seemed like a really great idea at the time, but after they started rolling in, the excitement faded and I was quickly embarrassed.  Here’s the haul so far:

There seems to be no end in sight. I’m so ashamed that I rush to the mailbox first to rid of the evidence. I’ve sent my sister a ton of the samples because I know I will never use them and perhaps she can.

OCD will always be there and I need to do a better job of fighting these urges or giving into these “inspirations.”  I really like that word because it sums up exactly how it feels at the time.

Do you have any experiences like this? Probably not, but it’s always good to hear from you all.

Best,
Megan
